I've done Diploma in Mechanical Engineering directly after 10th. Not done 12th. After Diploma I'm working in BHEL as Asst. Engineer since 4 years. Within this four year I completed Part Time B.Tech at SASTRA University(A university under section 3 of UGC act 1956).

Now I'm interested to Persue MBA at any IIM. I can get a good CAT score.

I want to know, If I'm eligible for persuing MBA at IIMs under this academic structure.

Myself, Rohit Somani, is interested in pursuing a 2 year MBA course from the IIMs. I am a Chartered Accountant by profession and at present have a 9 months work experience.
I have heard that in the IIMs there are very few students from the commerce field and it is dominated by the Engineers.

hai, i am submitting my profile to u. whether i am eligible to get a call from IIM-A,B,C. if i get a good CAT percentile.

i am working since 2005(when i was completed diploma). because of job i completed my Btech through dstance mode. after completion of Btech i am having TWO years experience.so, please tell me am i eligible to get in to IIMS(especially in to Bangalore).why i am asking like this is i was read from a web site that eventhough if we are havnig good %le n CAT if we dont have good profile like marks in 10th, 12 th, degree marks. we dont get call from IIMS. so, please clarify as early as possible (genuine answer) because i am hearng so many answers from my friends. after that i was searching through the help got this. please HELP ME..........

  • The IIMs are the best B-schools in India which are located at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Indore, Kolkata (Calcutta), Kozhikode (Calicut), Lucknow and Shillong. The IIMs conduct post-graduate diploma programmes and research in management in addition to providing consultancy services to different strata of the industry. The diploma programmes of the IIM are equivalent to MBA whereas the fellowship programmes in management are commensurable to having a doctorate degree. Admission to more than 1250 graduate programmes takes place through a highly competitive Common Admission Test (CAT).
